Murder charge after St Neots woman found with 'cuts to neck'

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in Cambridgeshire on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination of the woman's body, found at a house in Curlew Place, St Neots, concluded she died from "multiple cuts to the neck".

Armed officers forced entry after being contacted by an ambulance crew and found a woman in her 30s, police said.

Timothy Allen, 40, from Curlew Place, is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The house remains cordoned off and inquiries continue, police said.
