Version 0 of 1. Another sinkhole has emerged in Manchester, less than three weeks after one appeared on a busy main road in the city. The second sinkhole is on Paddock Street, Ardwick, running parallel to Mancunian Way - the location of the original 40-foot sinkhole which developed on 14 August following severe flooding.

Workmen at the scene say that it was fenced off by United Utilities last night, and say it may not be connected to the hole on Mancunian Way Mancunian Way was only reopened yesterday. Although both lanes of the westbound carriageway were running as usual from early in the morning, no date has been set for the eastbound carriageway to reopen, according to Salford Online. |
