Version 0 of 1.

Two women have been arrested in New Jersey for allegedly staging a child 'fight club' at the nursery where they worked.

Erika Kenny, 22, and Chanese White, 28, allegedly encouraged the children in their care to fight each other in the playground at the Lightbridge Academy in Cranford, New Jersey, last month.

As reported by CBS New York, Union County Prosecutor Grace Park described the scene, saying: "About a dozen children - boys and girls between the ages of four and six - just fighting, throwing each other to the ground, hitting each other."

"Most parents would be astonished by the behaviour."

Kenny also allegedly took videos of the fights on her phone, and sent them to people on Snapchat.

A video of the children fighting was allegedly shared on Snapchat Photos and videos sent on Snapchat are automatically deleted from the sender and recipient's phones, but investigators managed to find the video.

The charges stem from 13 August, but investigators are looking at whether the fights were ongoing.

Park said it is not believed that there were any serious injuries during the fights.

The pair have been accused of child abuse, with Kenny also facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

White could get 18 months in prison, and Kenny could get up to five years.
