AirBnB did not respond to requests for comment from The Independent but CBS news reported that the company said it was looking into Mr Corwin’s claims. An AirBnB spokesperson told The Independent: "This property is no longer listed on Airbnb, and we are reviewing this matter fully. When hosts register on Airbnb, they must certify that they will comply with local rules before they list their space. Hosts are also urged to host responsibly, including notifying their roommates."
“Airbnb does not own, operate, manage or control accommodations, nor do we verify private contract terms or arbitrate complaints from third parties,” a statement from AirBnB read.
