Woodplumpton man dies in cattle trampling at farm

A man has died after he was trampled by cattle at a farm in Lancashire.

Emergency services were called to Lower House Farm in Lewth Lane, Woodplumpton, shortly after 09:45 BST on Monday.

A rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance were called and the victim, who has been named locally as Keith Knowles, was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital.

He later died and the coroner has been informed, the North West Ambulance Service said.
