Version 0 of 1.

With news of severe nursing shortages and the fallout from Mid Staffs still being felt, the nursing profession is under immense pressure.

But, despite all this, the majority of nurses still provide quality care to patients across the UK and take great pride in their work.

As part of the Guardian Healthcare Network’s themed week on nursing, we’d like to highlight some of the more memorable moments in a nursing career and celebrate what nurses do on a daily basis.

Is there an incident that has shaped how you carry out your job now? Or has there been one patient who changed your view on something, or who was difficult to treat for any reason? Have you had an encounter with a colleague that has stayed with you? Or maybe there was a seemingly mundane incident that brought home why you went into nursing and what keeps you there.

We want to hear from you. Share your story by filling in the form below. We’ll use a selection in our reporting and/or for our Blood, sweat and tears series which features first person accounts of a standout moment in a healthcare career. Remember, you can be anonymous.
