Central African Republic: Civilian at U.N. Is Suspected of Abuse
Version 0 of 1. A civilian working for the United Nations mission in Central African Republic is suspected of sexual exploitation, bringing the total number of those accused of sexual abuse to 17 since the peacekeeping mission arrived last year, the United Nations said Tuesday. The mission gave few details, but Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesman for Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, told reporters in New York that the suspect “will not be allowed to leave the Central African Republic for the time being.” He said the United Nations was investigating. |
