Partner expected to be charged with murder of pregnant woman in Sydney
Version 0 of 1. The partner of a heavily pregnant woman stabbed to death in her western Sydney home is expected to be charged with murder, according to police. Police were called to a house in Mount Druitt in the early hours of Tuesday where the woman, 37, was found dead with multiple stab wounds. The woman’s 15-year-old son reportedly discovered her body shortly after midnight and raised the alarm. Related: 'These women are not statistics' – deaths in Australia in 2015 Her 38-year-old partner turned himself in to police a short time later and is under guard at Nepean Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. “Once that man is deemed well enough, he will be taken to Mount Druitt police station and interviewed by detectives,” a NSW Police spokeswoman said. It’s expected the man will be charged with murder, police said. Forensic police are examining the Chester Street house, which is now a crime scene. |
