Version 0 of 1.

Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron has told party activists their "mission" to get back into power starts with the May 2016 assembly election.

He told his party conference in Bournemouth he wanted to put the Lib Dems back in power at every level throughout Britain.

They would start with elections to the Welsh assembly, the Scottish Parliament and London assembly, Mr Farron said.

Lib Dems were now the only "credible" opposition to the Tories, he argued.

Mr Farron accused Labour of abandoning serious politics and serious economics by electing Jeremy Corbyn as leader.

Inviting liberals from across the political spectrum to join the party, he said the Liberal Democrats had to rebuild from the bottom up.
