Three police officers have been injured during a stabbing attack in north-west London. Three police officers were hurt in an attack by a man wielding a screwdriver.
They were attacked in Elmwood Crescent, Brent earlier. The officers were attacked after they were called to assist in escorting a man to hospital from Elmwood Crescent, Colindale in Brent, north-west London.
One officer is being treated in hospital and two others had minor injuries. The man, 59, who carried out the attack refused to go with the officers, one of whom sustained a cut to her forehead.
The officer in hospital is not thought to be seriously ill, the BBC understands. She is being treated in hospital and two other officers had minor injuries. A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Scotland Yard said.
