The officers were attacked after they were called to assist in escorting a man to hospital from Elmwood Crescent, Colindale in Brent, north-west London. | |
The man, 59, who carried out the attack refused to go with the officers, one of whom sustained a cut to her forehead. | |
She is being treated in hospital and two other officers had minor injuries. A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Scotland Yard said. |
