Channel Tunnel services are running, but with long delays after around 120 migrants broke into the terminal on the French side overnight. Channel Tunnel services are running, but with delays of up to three hours, after around 120 migrants broke into the terminal on the French side.
Trains are running between Folkestone and Calais with delays of up to three hours, Eurotunnel has said. Trains between Folkestone and Calais were suspended overnight after an "organised" group of 200 migrants broke through security fencing.
Eurostar has told passengers to expect delays of up to two hours but to check in as normal. One Eurotunnel employee and two police officers were injured in the incident.
Trains stopped from 23:30 BST on Friday after an "organised" group of 200 migrants tried to enter the terminal. Both tunnels reopened on Saturday after security checks for people inside and damage to equipment.
Security staff were overwhelmed by the "number and aggression" of the group, a Eurotunnel spokesman said. There had been delays of up to three hours during the morning while all services ran on one of the two tunnels.

He said that people had gone to the end of new security fencing, installed during the summer months, and broken through older fences. Services were suspended for safety reasons while French police and British authorities removed people from the area. The disruption affected both Eurotunnel, which runs freight and car services, and Eurostar, which runs passenger trains from St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford.
On Saturday morning, security checks for damage to rails and equipment, and for people, were being carried out on the second of the two Channel Tunnels. They both carry freight and passenger services. Eurotunnel said on Saturday afternoon it expected to run trains at its regular rate of two departures an hour. But it warned of passenger delays from Calais of three hours and from the UK of two-and-a-half hours.
Delays were set to continue until Eurotunnel, which runs freight and car services, and Eurostar, which runs passenger trains from St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford, could use both tunnels. Eurostar advised customers to check in as normal but to expect delays of up to two hours on all departing trains.
Just after 12:30 BST, Eurotunnel said it was about to resume service in both tunnels and the full timetable would be restored as quickly as possible. There were coastbound delays on the M20 around the exit to the Channel Tunnel at junction 11A.
Eurostar said its trains were being held outside of the Channel Tunnel while checks were under way. Its passengers reported delays of between one and two hours.
One, Ali Harris, from St Albans told the BBC she was waiting for a train home after working at the migrant camp, the jungle.
"I am due to go home on the Eurotunnel tonight and if I'm delayed I don't mind," she said.
"I'm sure people's travel plans have been disrupted but the migrants are desperate. They climb over fences and storm the tunnel because they are in such a desperate situation."
