A collection of bras previously owned and worn by celebrities has gone on display at a Swindon shopping centre.

The exhibition at the Brunel Centre is part of a charity appeal to raise funds for research into new breast cancer treatments and diagnosis.

Bras belonging to Honor Blackman, Barbara Windsor, Nicole Sherzinger and Twiggy are among those on show.

A fur bikini worn by Swindon-born Diana Dors at the Venice Film Festival in the 1950s is also among the exhibits.

The Bra the Brunel exhibition was launched by Erika Roe, who shot to fame for not wearing a bra during her topless streak at a Twickenham rugby match in 1982.

Also on display is a giant 620cm wide and 60cm high crocheted bra, made by members of the Swindon Bitch and Stitch knitting group, which took four months to create.

Jane Stewart from the Brunel Centre said: "We are thrilled to have so many bras from famous people on display.

"We're especially pleased to be able to display Diana Dors' iconic fur bikini."

The exhibition is raising funds for Against Breast Cancer and runs until 23 October.
