Hillsborough investigators' release video in witness appeal

New video appeals have been launched to try and identify several people who helped carry casualties during the Hillsborough disaster.

It is the first time footage has been used as part of the ongoing witness appeal to find supporters who helped people who died.

Ninety-six Liverpool fans died after the crush in 1989.

The appeal was launched at the request of coroner Sir John Goldring and the victims' families.

Appeal one

The first video shows four people carrying a casualty across the concourse area behind the West Stand, through exit Gate C and to a waiting ambulance.

The witnesses sought are those lettered A, B, C and D in the footage.

New inquests into the disaster are being held in Warrington, Cheshire.

Images of all those yet to be traced are available on the Operation Resolve website.

Appeal two

The second clip also aims to identify people who carried a casualty across the concourse area behind the West Stand and through exit Gate C.

The witnesses in this video are those lettered E, F, G H and I.

The purpose of Operation Resolve is to prove or disprove whether the 96 fans attending the match were unlawfully killed.
