A midwife who delivered all four of a couple's babies over an 11-year period has been praised as a "one off" by the father.

Anita Walsh delivered Catherine and Daniel Fox's sons at the Rosie Hospital which is part of Addenbrooke's in Cambridge, the Cambridge News reported.

Albie is ten days old while Remy is three, Fraser is six and Corey is 11.

Mrs Fox, of Great Gransden, said: "She's amazing. Nothing's too much trouble for her."

She added: "Like all new parents, for our first baby we didn't know what to expect, but Anita took us step-by-step all the way through.

"It really was a blessing for her to be there and we are so incredibly lucky and grateful that she's delivered all of our children."

Mr Fox said: "It's a wonderful yet terrifying experience. As a dad nothing is in your control, but each time I saw it was Anita who was going to be delivering our baby, I thought 'thank God'.

"She's a one off, they don't make many like that.

"It's amazing to watch her work, you can tell it's more than just a job to her."

Ms Walsh said: "The odds of delivering four babies for the same couple are very slim. I can't describe how special it is to help bring a baby into the world or how much I love my job.

"The day I get bored is the day I get out."
