Prince George’s man stabbed to death, woman charged with murder

A Prince George’s County man was found stabbed to death Friday night in the Temple Hills area, and police said Sunday they had arrested a woman and she was charged with first-degree murder. Police said Devale Lamont Avery, 42, of Fort Washington, was found dead about 7:50 p.m. Friday inside a house in the 5700 block of Linda Lane, just off Branch Avenue in the Temple Hills area. On Sunday, police said they had arrested GiGi Marie Thomas, 45, of the 5700 block of Linda Lane. Police said an argument between Thomas and Avery apparently escalated into a fatal stabbing. The police declined to say when or where Thomas was arrested, or whether she lived in the house where Avery was killed. Thomas was being held without bond Sunday in the Prince George’s County jail. |
