Two window cleaners have fallen from a height of several stories in Sydney’s CBD and landed on an awning. Two window cleaners have fallen about 12 storeys from a highrise building in Sydney’s CBD after a cable reportedly snapped on their platform.
A witness told the Nine Network the window washers fell from about eight or nine floors up. The men, believed to be in their 50s, were cleaning windows at a building on Pitt Street near the Bridge Street intersection when a cable snapped on their platform, according to witnesses, just after 11am on Tuesday.
The witness said one of them bounced off the awning on to a white 4WD and the other remained on the awning. The men were about 12 storeys up, witnesses said. Both men landed on the building’s awning, with many pedestrians rushing to help them before paramedics arrived.
