For the record

Version 0 of 1.

A story headlined “Pope sends letter of support to ‘Tarzan’ and squatters of Rome” (News, last week, page 24) said that a large property occupied by squatters in May, La tenuta Vaselli, just opposite the pope’s summer residence, was owned by the city of Rome. However, the estate, which is in Castel Gandolfo, a separate municipality from Rome, is still privately owned by descendants of the original owner. They gave their consent for the squatter group to move into the property. The story also incorrectly referred to the pope as “Pontiff Francis I”. A pope is considered supreme pontiff but pontiff is not used as a title. Additionally, the pope styles himself Francis, Franciscus or Francesco – but not Francis I.

“Kate on camera” (Magazine, last week, page 26) reproduced photographs from the career of the singer Kate Bush taken by her brother, John Carder Bush. One of the pictures purported to show Kate with John but it actually showed her brother Paddy. Contrary to other captions, John Carder Bush did not take photographs for the cover of the album The Kick Inside and the single Babooshka, taken from the album Never for Ever, was not recorded and released in 1989 but much earlier, in 1980.
