Man hits acquaintance with car in Montgomery County, then drives off
Version 0 of 1. A man was seriously injured in Montgomery County Sunday evening when he was hit by a car apparently driven by someone he knew, county police said. The driver reportedly left the scene and the matter was under investigation, police said. The incident occurred about 6:30 p.m. at Mitchell Street and Armory Drive in Kensington, according to Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the county fire and rescue service. He said the victim’s injuries were not regarded as life-threatening. In the incident, two men, both in their 20s, were at the intersection in their cars, when one got out of his car and was struck by the vehicle driven by the other, according to Capt. Paul Starks, a county police spokesman. The driver then left, Starks said. He said the incident “was not a stranger-based event.” No motive could be learned for the actions of either man. |
