Teenager charged over Bailey Gwynne death at Cults Academy | |

A 16-year-old boy has been charged over the death of Bailey Gwynne, who died after suffering stab injuries in an Aberdeen school. | |
Bailey, 16, died after the incident at Cults Academy on Wednesday afternoon. | |
Police Scotland said a 16-year-old male had been charged in connection with the death. He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday. | |
Emergency services were called to the school at about 13:30 on Wednesday. Bailey died in hospital. | |
Cults Parish Church will hold a candlelit vigil at 20:00. | |
Bailey was described by head teacher Anna Muirhead as "very gentle" and "caring". | |
She said pupils and staff were "totally devastated" and in a "state of total shock". | |
