Two people were found dead inside a Capitol Hill home on Monday afternoon, officials said.

First District Commander Jeff Brown said that police have not yet identified the man and woman who died. There were no signs of forced entry to the home, he said.

A family member called police to check on the people inside the two-story rowhouse on the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue NE at about 3:20 p.m., police spokesman Hugh Carew said.

When police arrived, both people had died.
