Nativity scenes to feature on Royal Mail Christmas stamps
Version 0 of 1. Scenes from the traditional nativity story will be depicted on this year’s Christmas stamps. Royal Mail said the six stamps feature scenes from the biblical story from the Annunciation and the birth of Christ. The stamps were illustrated by London-born artist David Holmes. Andrew Hammond, of Royal Mail, said: “Christmas is a stamp issue we particularly look forward to. The charming style of these designs sets the perfect tone for the festive season.” Recommended last post dates this year are 19 December for second-class mail, 21 December for first-class mail and 23 December for special delivery. There will be no deliveries from Christmas Day until 29 December as Monday 28 December is a bank holiday. |
