Bicyclist struck and later dies in Southeast Washington
Version 0 of 1. A bicyclist died after he was struck by a vehicle in Southeast Washington. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of Wheeler Road SE. A turning vehicle pulled into the path of a bicyclist traveling south in the 3500 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast, causing the bicyclist to impact the side of the vehicle, police said. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital where life-saving efforts failed, and he was pronounced dead. Police identified the bicyclist as 30-year-old Christopher Brewer of Southeast, DC. He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries, according to D.C. police. The case is under investigation. |
