An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of a teenage boy. A man has been charged with murdering a teenage boy who was found injured in a busy residential street in Leicester after reports of a fight.
The 16-year-old, named locally as Tyler Thompson, was found injured in a busy residential street in Leicester after reports of a fight on Tuesday. Tyler Thompson, 16, was discovered on Freeman Road North on Tuesday night and taken to hospital, where he died.
On Thursday evening, Pravdit Sian, from Litelmede, Leicester, was charged with murder. He is due before city magistrates later. Pravdit Sian, 18, from Litelmede, Leicester, was charged on Thursday night and remanded into custody by city magistrates earlier.
Two other men have been bailed and a third was released without charge. He is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 22 December.
Officers were called to Freeman Road North in Leicester on Tuesday evening to reports of a fight. A post-mortem examination found a provisional cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest.
Tyler was found injured in the street and taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where he later died.
