Arrest is made in District’s 150th and most recent homicide
Version 0 of 1. A suspect was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal shooting last week that occurred during an apparent exchange of gunfire, D.C. police said. The homicide, which occurred on Nov. 23, was the 150th in the city this year, according to police figures. As of Monday night, it was also the last killing reported in the District. Police said Monday that Clifton Johnson, 25, of Southeast was arrested in the fatal shooting of Dwayne Grandson, 24. Grandson was found about 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 23, near Pennsylvania and Minnesota avenues SE. Police said their intial investigation indicated that gunfire was exchanged in that area. They said the suspect was charged with first-degree murder while armed. |
