An array of different drugs were found on Scott Weiland’s tour bus after the former Stone Temple Pilots singer died, reports Billboard. The magazine was given a copy of the search warrant obtained by police in Bloomington, Minnesota, to enter the tour bus.

The police found Viagra, sleeping pills, the painkiller Ziprasidone – which is used to treat bipolar disorder, as well as “2 clean baggies with white substance” which were packaged “common with the way narcotics are packaged”, and a “baggie with green leafy substance”. Police separately announced they had found cocaine on the bus, and Weiland’s Wildabouts bassist Tommy Black was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Billboard reports that the warrant reveals that Weiland was found by a friend who had checked his bedroom on the tour bus after his wife had been unable to contact him. Weiland was unresponsive, and the friend called 911. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 10.27pm on Thursday 3 December.

The warrant says Weiland’s body was alone, and the “white substance” was “located in the bedroom on plain view”.

Earlier this week, Weiland’s ex-wife, Mary Forsberg Weiland, sent an open letter to Rolling Stone in which she asked people not “glorify this tragedy with talk of rock and roll and the demons that, by the way, don’t have to come with it”. She described her ex-husband as “a paranoid man who couldn’t remember his own lyrics and who was only photographed with his children a handful of times in 15 years of fatherhood”.
