D.C. Police have issued a ruling of homicide in the death two weeks ago of a 25-year-old Northwest Washington man who was shot in 2006.

The incident happened Nov. 13, 2006, around 9:33 p.m. in the 1900 block of 18th Street SE. When police arrived, they found three men with gunshot wounds. They were transported to area hospitals.

One of the men — Gary Brown — died just two weeks ago. Police said in a statement that Brown had been hospitalized “due to complications associated with the original injuries” he suffered in the 2006 shooting.
