The son of the former Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh has pleaded not guilty to his father’s murder because of mental incompetence.

Cy Walsh entered his plea in the Adelaide magistrates court on Friday.

He is alleged to have murdered his father at the Walsh family home in July.

Walsh has been committed to the supreme court and will appear there on 1 February.
