Police: Woman whose body was found in burned Severn house was slain

A woman whose body was found Thursday in the ruins of a house destroyed by fire in the Severn area of Anne Arundel County has been identified, and was the victim of a homicide, the county police said. They said an autopsy determined that Diana Lynn Knight, 59, who apparently lived at the house in the 1200 block of Old Camp Meeting Road, had upper body trauma. Police said they thought that she had been targeted and that the killing was not random. A man whose body was found in the house Friday has not yet been identified, the police said. |
