D.C. bar patron hit on head with bottle during hockey game
Version 0 of 1. Hockey players get worked up, and so apparently do spectators. D.C. police said one fan struck another with a bottle Wednesday night in a bar where the Capitals game was on TV. The game was being shown in the Greene Turtle, which is in the 600 block of F Street NW and near Verizon Center, when a dispute began, police said. The attacker picked up a bottle and struck the victim, cutting the victim’s forehead, police said. The bottle-wielder then left. Police said he was described as a bald white man, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, with a medium build. They said he wore black trousers and a Capitals jersey. The exact subject of the argument could not be learned. The Capitals won 5-3. Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the game score. This version is correct. |
