Pakistan are offering to play a one-day international in England next year by way of compensating them for the lost revenue from the forfeited Oval Test. England demanded £800,000 from the PCB after the final Test ended in farce on the fourth day after Pakistan's refusal to take to the field in protest. The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed Pakistan have offered to play a one-day international but said the busy schedule could prevent it.

But a PCB official confirmed talks had taken place with England about a match. "We are appreciative of Pakistan's offer and are exploring all options,"an ECB spokeswoman told BBC Sport.
"England have a packed schedule next summer and it is unlikely this one-day match could be accommodated."
