A woman was wounded in Rockville Monday night when a bullet pierced the door of her car and struck her, the Rockville police said.

The woman’s wound was thought to be non-lifethreatening, said Terry Treschuk, chief of the Rockville city police department.

He said the shot was apparently fired around 8 p.m. as the woman drove in the area of Martins Lane. The victim felt a sharp pain, but continued driving. When she saw the wound she sought help, and was taken to a hospital.

Police were investigating Monday night.
