Two people seen walking nearby when two young boys were kidnapped by masked men in Slough are being sought by police.

The boys, aged six and 10, were taken by three masked men from their home in Hemming Way on the Britwell estate just after 07:00 GMT on New Year's Eve.

They were ordered by three masked men into a white van that travelled along Long Readings Lane to Upper Lees Road.

Police said CCTV footage shows possibly an adult and a child, walking in Upper Lees Road near the time of the kidnap.

Det Insp Nicola Hurdley, said: "I would appeal to the people captured in the CCTV, to contact police immediately, because they may have vital information that can help our investigation."

After being driven around for several minutes the boys were allowed out of the van uninjured. They then ran back to their home in Hemming Way.

Police said the men had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing.

The van is described as white and may have been a Ford Transit.

Police said the boys were being supported by officers and extra police patrols have been laid on to provide reassurance to residents.
