Boys in court over attack on Pcs

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, have appeared in court accused of attempting to murder armed police officers in south London by driving a car into them.

The pair appeared in custody at Camberwell Youth Court after being arrested on Friday. The younger boy is also charged with dangerous driving.

The two officers were responding to a call in Battersea when they were hit.

No pleas were entered at the hearing and the boys are to due to reappear at the court on 25 March.

Both officers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident in a car park.

They had been called at about 0100 GMT on Friday to a group of men carrying firearms outside Badric Court, off York Road.
