Good Counsel, Damascus and Huntingtown will all compete at War on the Shore this weekend at Stephen Decatur High in Berlin, Md. The Falcons’ appearance gives the Montgomery County and Southern Maryland powers a rare opportunity to measure themselves against a stacked WCAC lineup. . . . Nationally ranked 195-pounder Kevin Snyder sat out with an ankle injury, but that didn’t stop Good Counsel from setting a point record at the Hub Cup tournament at North Hagerstown last weekend. Five Good Counsel wrestlers won their weight classes, helping the Falcons finish with 264.5 points, 86.5 clear of second-place Spalding in the 20-team field. . . . Battlefield finished tied for fourth in the national high school division of Virginia Duals in Hampton over the weekend. The Bobcats defeated St. John’s and New Kent but fell to North Lebanon and South Plainfield. St. John’s sophomore Malcolm Robinson went 3-0 in the tournament, pinning Battlefield’s River Curtis in a close match and moving up a weight class to beat top-ranked Marshall Keller of Christiansburg. . . . Glenelg remained unbeaten with wins over Chesapeake, Long Reach and Centennial. . . .
