Man assaulted woman in home after he called for help, police say

Version 0 of 1. A Centreville woman was sexually assaulted after letting a man inside her house after she heard him outside calling for help, Fairfax County authorities say. The woman, who lives in the 13800 block of Rampant Lion Court, told detectives she heard a knock at her door around 1:40 a.m. Thursday. Police said she also heard a male voice calling for help and answered the door. She let the man enter her house and he sexually assaulted and injured her, authorities said. He later fled, according to a county police department release. The victim, who has non-life threatening injuries, was taken to an area hospital, the release said. |
