Two adults and three children who escaped from the flat above into a garden then had to rescued by fire fighters as their exit was blocked by the fire. | |

Watch manager Ray Burton said: "When we got there, there were flames shooting out across the road. | |
"It's now unusual to get a fire that's so developed because of early warning systems and smoke alarms. | |

"He was walking and talking - he had just got burns on his legs and hands," said Mr Burton. | |
Mr Burton heard smoke alarms coming from the flat above the office and believes these saved the lives of the people in the flat. | |
