Version 0 of 1. SYDNEY — A tropical cyclone may get stronger before it hits western Australia’s coast on Sunday morning. Tropical Cyclone Stan had sustained winds near its center of 110 kilometers per hour (68 mph) on Saturday evening, Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology said. Landfall was forecast east of Port Hedland near the sparsely populated communities of Pardoo and Wallal in Western Australia state. The forecasters warned that if the storm got stronger overnight, wind gusts could reach 200 kph (124 mph). Authorities warned of potential wind damage and flooding on the coast and along rivers.
