Natalie Keepers, 19, of Laurel, Md., is accused of assisting another Virginia Tech student with the plan to kill Nicole Lovell and helping dispose of her body. Lovell’s body was found near the Virginia-North Carolina border on Saturday after police spent days searching for her. She disappeared on Jan. 27. Montgomery County, Va. prosecutor Mary Pettitt laid out the allegations against Natalie Keepers, 19, during a hearing at which a judge denied her bond request in Christiansburg, Va.

Keepers has been charged with accessory before the fact to first-degree murder, accessory after the fact and concealing a body. The most serious charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
