A blaze has been reported at the Tata Steel plant in Port Talbot, Mid and West Wales Fire Service has said. A blaze at the Tata Steel plant in Port Talbot has been put out, the fire service has said.
Reports of the fire emerged on Twitter on Thursday morning at 08:30 GMT. Mid and West Wales Fire Service said it was called to the blaze, which is believed to have started in the coke oven, at about 08:00 GMT.
South Wales Police confirmed it had received reports of the blaze but gave no further information. Six crews and an aerial appliance remain on standby at the scene.
