He is expected to kneel down next to a pair of worn sandals, a symbol for the thousands of migrants who have died trying to cross into the US.
His message is not just aimed at Mexicans, though.
A huge stage has been set up near the border fence where the Pope will say Mass and the service will be broadcast on a giant screen in a football stadium in El Paso, Texas.
