Drive-through windows are the heart of fast-food restaurants — it’s where you pay and where your order is delivered.

But Prince George’s County authorities are searching for a man who used those same windows to burglarize two establishments last month. He crawled through the windows and stole cash from the registers, police said Wednesday.

Both burglaries took place within 30 minutes of each other in Colmar Manor, according to a police department news release.

Around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, authorities said the man crawled through the window of a restaurant in the 4000 block of Bladensburg Road. Then, at about 5 a.m., investigators said he broke into another restaurant in the 3900 block of Bladensburg Road. In both burglaries, he broke out the windows, crawled inside and took cash, according to the release.

Authorities ask that anyone with information contact Prince George’s police at 301-699-2601 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
