The RTS awards are globally recognized honors, principally in broadcast news. The AP was nominated in two other categories. “Mstyslav is an extraordinary talent a photographer who, two years ago, had barely picked up a video camera,” said Sandy MacIntyre, AP’s Vice President and Director of Global Video. “Now he is camera operator of the year in a category that has the cream of the profession to choose from. This on top of 12 months ago winning RTS young talent of the year, for his work in Ukraine is without equal.”
