A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday for a fatal shooting in Greenbelt earlier this week, Prince George’s County police said.

Jarel Dickerson of District Heights, Md., is charged with first-degree murder in the homicide of Robert Brandon Jr. Monday.

Brandon, 28, was shot to death on the 8600 block of Greenbelt Road, the street where he lived. Police found him outdoors soon after 11 p.m.

Tyler Hunter, a county police spokesman, said investigators believe that Dickerson shot Brandon during a drug-related robbery. But Hunter would not say which man was selling drugs or was trying to rob the other, nor what drug was involved.
