D.C. police are investing a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in the 1800 block of Benning Road NE, police said. Two people were shot and killed Friday night in Northeast Washington, D.C. police said.
Officers found Dante Kinard, 21, of Northeast, shot about 9:45 p.m., police said. Kinard died at a local hospital. A man yet to be identified was found about 8:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue, police said. About an hour and a half later, Dante Kinard, 21, of Northeast was found in the 1800 block of Benning Road, they said.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the shooter. Anyone with information can reach police at 202-727-9099. The fatal shootings, apparently unrelated, were the third and fourth in the city in three days.
