(about 1 hour later)
German police have said the pilot of a Ryanair plane from London to Bratislava made an unscheduled landing to eject members of a bachelor party including the groom.  A stag do of six drunken British men, including the groom, forced a Ryanair flight to make an emergency landing in Berlin.
Federal police say the six men had disturbed security on board the plane and ignored the crew's instructions, prompting the pilot to land in Berlin late Friday.  They were removed from the plane by German police, after allegedly becoming aggressive when cabin crew refused to serve them alcohol. Six other members of the party were allowed to continue their flight to Slovakia, along with 158 other passengers.
In a statement Saturday, police said the drunken Englishmen aged 25 to 28 from Southampton were met by officers upon landing at Schoenefeld airport. They now face fines of up to €25,000 each and civil claims from the airline.  The incident occured on Friday evening, on board Ryanair flight FR2306 from Luton to the Slovakian capital, Bratislava.
The other 164 passengers, including six members of the bachelor party who hadn't taken part in the rowdy behavior, were able to continue their flight to Slovakia.  The six detainees are from Southampton, and aged between 25 and 26. They now face fines of up to £20,000 each under the Aviation Security Act, alongside potential civil claims from the airline.
AP German federal police met the Boeing 737-800 at Scoenefeld Airport, Berlin, within 30 minutes of the men becoming aggressive towards Ryanair staff. The incident occured around an hour into the flight, which left Luton at around 6PM GMT.
In a statement, the German police said: 'During the flight, six of the 12-member group interfered with safety on board."
A Ryanair spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police."
In March, a stag party from Wales was removed from a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Alicante before it had even left the ground, after reducing an air steward to tears.
And in June, another a Ryanair flight from Majorca to Birmingham was delayed after a groom-to-be ran out onto the airport tarmac as part of a "dare" and was arrested by Spanish police.
