Man shot, seriously wounded in Loudoun apparently by accident
Version 0 of 1. A man was shot and seriously wounded Monday night in a residential area of Loudoun County. The wound apparently occurred by accident, authorities said. The incident occurred in the 42600 block of Hollyhock Terrace, in the Ashburn area of the county. The man’s wound was “self-inflicted,” in what appeared to be an “unintentional discharge” of a firearm, Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the county sheriff’s office said in a brief email message.. Information obtained by monitoring of law enforcement radio frequencies indicated that the man may have been a federal law enforcement officer. Troxell could not confirm that and said no other details of the incident were available as of late Monday. |
