Man dies in three-car collision

A man has died and two other people have been injured in a three-car crash in Dumfries and Galloway.

The accident happened on the A711 Dumfries to Dalbeattie road, near the village of Beeswing, at about 1800 GMT on Friday.

The man who died was a passenger in one of the cars. A male driver and a female driver were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
