Version 0 of 1.

A police officer was injured in a crash in Anne Arundel County on Tuesday evening.

A Maryland Transportation Authority spokeswoman had little information about the collision. But she said that an officer who worked for the Transportation Authority was on the way to respond to a call when he was involved in a collision.

The spokeswoman said she did not know how badly the officer was hurt.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50 near Exit 29 for St. Margarets Road, the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination Program said.

All eastbound lanes were temporarily closed, and have since reopened, the spokeswoman said.
