A heavily pregnant woman is in a critical condition and two men suffered hand injuries when they tried to protect her from a man with a knife. Doctors have delivered a baby who is said to be "doing well" after its pregnant mother was attacked and stabbed in a West Midlands street.
The woman, 40, was stabbed several times in Sutton Coldfield shortly after 15:00 GMT on Friday. The 40-year-old woman has been left in a critical condition following the attack by a man police said was known to her.
