Two women were shot and killed in Prince George’s County in what police are calling a double homicide that does not appear to be a random act. | |
The victims’ names were not immediately released. | |
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 6500 block of Landover Road in Cheverly. Police were called to the area for a report of the sound of gunfire. When they arrived, they found two women suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. | |
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cheverly Police department. | |
Officials with the county’s police department are doing an investigation. | |
